The New Airport will be located directly south of Canalete on the neighboring property.
The new airport will be an extension of the existing Rafael Núñez airport, near Bayunca, in an area close to 4900 acres, of which the air terminal would have 1400.
It will have, initially, a runway of 3.1 kilometers in length and a road and is planned to have a capacity of 17 million passengers, more than double what the Rafael Núñez moves today and expand as demand demands it.
